OSHA is amending its standard to allow the use of alternative
stabilization systems which provide continuous positive means of
engangement between the platform and the building facade. The
amendment also updates existing requirements using
performance-oriented language, expands the scope to include
requirements for emergency planning, employee training and personal
protection for employees using powered platforms.
