Investigation Summary
At 7:30 p.m. on May 14, 2024, Employee #1, employed by a waste management company, was emptying a reflective tote containing tenant trash bags. While standing beside his truck, the driver of a Jeep collided with the rear of the truck and skidded along its side, where Employee #1 was positioned. The impact caused Employee #1 to be pulled under the Jeep, trapped in its undercarriage, and dragged approximately 400 yards before the driver stopped. Employee #1 sustained fatal injuries.
