Employee dies as a result of status asthmaticus

At 4:05 a.m. on January 31, 2023, an employee finished placing cones on a helicopter landing area for a patient medivac event and and then waited in his work vehicle. The employee exited his vehicle and was found unresponsive approximately four minutes later. The employee died as a result of status asthmaticus.
