Investigation Summary
At 2:00 p.m. on December 7, 2021, an employee, a mechanic, was making repairs to a damaged tractor-trailer and was standing on a six-foot stepladder inside the trailer holding a steel block to support the pressure from an air hammer striking a rivet from the exterior of the trailer. The employee was standing on the second step from the top of the ladder when he lost his balance and fell to the floor of the trailer. The employee was transported to a local medical center and hospitalized to treat fractured ribs.
