Investigation Summary

At 4:30 p.m. on February 23, 2021, an employee was pruning a tree of mistletoe infestation using an arborist rope saddle and climbing equipment. As the employee was descending to the ground on his climbing system, the knot he had tied to secure his rope to the tree became untied, and he fell approximately fifteen feet to the ground, which was a landscaped area of the property. The employee was hospitalized to treat a fractured clavicle and ribs.
