Employee amputates fingertip while closing valve

At 6:00 a.m. on September 26, 2020, an employee was opening and closing the valve of a milk truck tank. The valve plunger closed on the employee's index finger between end of the plunger and piping. The employee sustained a right index fingertip amputation and was hospitalized.
