Investigation Summary
On August 29, 2020, an employee was working for a city police department. He was a police officer. He was on foot and deploying stop sticks to disable a suspect fleeing from a crime scene. When the fleeing suspect tried to avoid the deployed stop sticks, his car veered off the road and struck the officer. The employee suffered a compound fracture of his left tibia. He was hospitalized for two or more days.
