Employee amputates leg in forklift collision

At 7:00 p.m. on September 3, 2019, an employee was operating a standup forklift, delivering a gaylord of scrap material to scrap dumpster when he collided with a concrete wall and his left foot was caught between the forklift and the bollard that protects the wall. The employee was hospitalized to treat a leg amputation below the knee.
