Employee sustains burns from steam released from a tire pot

At 2:15 p.m. on December 14, 2017, an employee was de-pressurizing a tire that was in a pot heater. The employee did not depressurize the pot heater prior to removing the 2 inch steam line/s located at the base of the pot heater. Employee sustained burns of the crotch and leg areas from steam released from the pot heater.
