Overview

Agriculture is a major industry in the U.S. and includes growing and harvesting crops such as corn, cotton, soybeans, and fruit, as well as livestock, poultry, and other animals to provide products such as beef, chicken eggs, dairy, and wool.

National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA), Grain Elevator and Processing Society (GEAPS), and Grain Handling Safety Coalition (GHSC)

Through the Alliance, OSHA, NGFA, GEAPS and GHSC will work to reduce and prevent exposure to safety and health hazards associated with the grain handling and storage industry, such as but not limited to, falls, entanglements, combustible dust, electrical, engulfment, and struck-by hazards.

The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) and Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA)

The OSHA, TFI and ARA Alliance focuses on the safe storage and handling of fertilizers (ammonium nitrate and anhydrous ammonia), as well as the sharing of emergency response information between agribusiness communities and first responders.

CareerSafe: The National Youth Safety Initiative (CareerSafe)

OSHA and CareerSafe continue to recognize the value of maintaining a collaborative relationship to improve safety and health practices and programs in American workplaces, and commit to continue their work together through an Alliance Program Ambassador relationship.
