This is in response to your letter of May 24, 2001 to Keith Goddard of the Maryland Occupational Safety and Health Administration, requesting an interpretation on hand tool shielding requirements. We understand that you would like us to address your question with respect to federal Occupational Safety and Health requirements.
Abstract: Notice extending until December 14, 1988 the time in which comments and requests for a hearing may be submitted concerning the notice of proposed rulemaking which OSHA issued in FR:35972, September 15, 1988.
Abstract: This notice announces that OSHA is reproposing its Construction Safety Standards for Lift-Slab Operations. Specific requirements for lift-slab operations were orginally proposed for revision as part of the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) for Concrete and Masonry Construction. The purpose of the reproposal is to update the specific lift-slab requirements which have been incorporated by reference from the ANSI A10.9-1970 "Safety Requirements for Concrete Construction and Masonry Work".
