29 CFR 1910.212(a)(2): Machine guard(s) on machine(s) were so installed that they offered accident hazards in themselves: a.) Tonnard Manufacturing Corp.; sanding department - On or about 11/3/21, and at times prior thereto, the expanded metal guard on the Curtis sander had sharp edges at the bottom which created potential laceration hazards. b.) Tonnard Manufacturing Corp.; sanding department - On or about 12/6/21, the new expanded metal guard on the Curtis sander used to cover the entire conveyor guard had sharp edges at the bottom which created potential laceration hazards. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
