29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels were not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system, nor were employee(s) provided with an alternative fall protection measure under another provision of paragraph 1926.501 (b): a) The employer fails to assure effective protections against falls as required by the standard as demonstrated on 01/15/2021 at 837 Sailaway Lane, Naples FL, 34108 an employee is exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet while replacing roof tiles on a three-story residential roof (slope 5:12) in that he was not attached to a personal fall protection system. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that all employees are protected from fall hazards through the use of a fall protection system while engaging in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels. b) The employer fails to assure effective protections against falls as required by the standard as demonstrated on 01/15/2021 at 755 Bentwater Circle, Naples FL 34108, three (3) employees are exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet while engaged in roofing activities on the lower roof level of a three-story residential roof (slope 5:12), in that they were not attached to a personal fall protection system. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that all employees are protected from fall hazards through the use of a fall protection system while engaging in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels. c) The employer fails to assure effective protections against falls as required by the standard as demonstrated on 05/04/2021 at 805 Bentwater Circle, Naples FL 34108, employees are exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 30 feet while replacing roof tiles on a three stories residential roof (slope 5:12) in that they were not attached to a personal fall protection system. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that all employees are protected from fall hazards through the use of a fall protection system while engaging in residential construction activities 6 feet or more above lower levels. d) The employer fails to assure effective protections against falls as required by the standard as demonstrated on 06/29/2021 at 755 Bentwater Circle, Naples FL 34108, an employee is exposed to a fall hazard of approximately 12 feet while engaged in stucco/cement work on the lower roof level of a three-story residential building in that he was not attached to a personal fall protection system. To abate this hazard, the employer must ensure that all employees are protected from fall hazards through the use of a fall protection system while engaging in roofing activities 6 feet or more above lower levels.
