29 CFR 1910.184(c)(14): Employers must not use slings without affixed and legible identification markings. a) On or about July 10, 2020, employees used an eye and eye wire rope sling to connect an industrial furnace lid to a 5T overhead crane. The wire rope sling had a load rating tag affixed to it, however the tag was covered on both sides with paint and completely illegible.
