Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 011A Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there were potential electrical hazards were not provided with, and/or did not use, electrical protective equipment that was appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work being performed: a/ The employer is failing to protect employees from arc flash and or electrocution hazards. This condition was last observed on and about 05/05/16, at 16051 MO-HWY 47, Marthasville, MO 63357. Inside of Building #1, three General Electric 60 AMP Disconnect Boxes are installed on a live, 480 volt, Middle Row Bus Duct. Appropriate electrical protective equipment is neither available nor worn to protect the employee from this hazard. What is provided are a pair of safety glasses and Salisbury GD-112 RPG-10 Type 1 Class O Electrical Gloves. Suitable protective equipment in the form of a Class E hard hat, tinted face shield, dielectric foot wear, and arc flash suit as required by NFPA 70E-2015, Article 130.7, is not provided.
