Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 005B Hazard:
29 CFR 1926.503(a)(1): The employer shall provide a training program for each employee who might be exposed to fall hazards. The program shall enable each employee to recognize the hazards of falling and shall train each employee in the procedures to be followed in order to minimize these hazards. On or about June 13, 2019, employees working adjacent to an unprotected roof opening were exposed to fall hazards of at least 31 feet and had not received training in how to recognize and minimize those hazards. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
