29 CFR 1910.305(g)(2)(iii): Flexible cords were not connected to devices and fittings so that tension would not be transmitted to joints or terminal screws: The employer is failing to protect employees from electrical hazards associated with unsafe electrical work practices in hanging cords by the connectors without removing the tension and providing some form of strain relief. The most recent occurrence of this was found at the facility located at 1204 Jones St. Omaha, NE where the employer has employees operating equipment drawing power from temporary flexible cords strung along the ceiling connecting to a drop outlet without providing strain relief causing the exterior insulation to pull free from the connectors at both ends of the cord.
