29 CFR 1926.454(b): The employer did not have each employee involved in erecting, disassembling, moving, operating, repairing, maintaining, or inspecting a scaffold trained by a competent person to recognize any hazards associated with the work. On or about June 13, 2019, employees were required to work on unsecured scaffold planks that had been erected over a roof opening. The employer did not ensure each employee involved in the erection of the scaffold was adequately trained to recognize hazards associated with scaffold erection. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).
