29 CFR 1926.701(b):All protruding reinforcing steel, onto and/or into which employees could fall, was not guarded to eliminate the hazard of impalement: The employer is failing to protect employees from impalement hazards associated with unguarded reinforcing steel when conducting grouting operations on a residential construction jobsite. This was most recently documented on or about October 6, 2021 at a construction jobsite located at 1221 N 170th St., Omaha Nebraska. Where the employer has employees performing grouting activities of precast members in proximity of unguarded protruding reinforcing steel.
