29 CFR 1926.1427(b)(2): The operator-in-training must be continuously monitored on site by a trainer while operating equipment. At the jobsite located at the bridge construction over the Arkansas River in Nickerson, KS, employees were exposed to struck-by hazards. The foreman ceased observation duties of the crane operator-in-training while the trainee continued to engage in crane operations, exposing employees to struck-by hazards.
