29 CFR 1910.29(b)(2): The employer did not ensure that midrails, screens, mesh, intermediate vertical members, solid panels, or equivalent intermediate members were installed between the walking-working surface and the top edge of the guardrail system: (a) On or about March 9, 2020, and at times prior, employees were exposed to a fall hazard of 9 feet while accessing second level the storage area in the northeast corner of the shop. The south edge was protected by only a chain that ranged from 34 to 32 inches above the walking surface and had no midrail or intermediate member.
