29 CFR 1910.303(b)(7): Electric equipment was not installed in a neat and workmanlike manner: A.) Microtech Knives, Inc., 300 Chestnut Street Ext., Bradford, PA 16701, work bench outside of the sandblasting/paint rooms, on or about December 12, 2019 and times prior thereto: A flexible cord was running from a wall receptacle and was spiced into a snap switch box. A section of non-metallic sheath cable was then wired from the snap switch box to a lighting fixture. The condition was not workmanlike in that that flexible cord was spliced into the snap switch box and that the flexible cord was used in lieu of permanent wiring of the structure. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
