29 CFR 1926.451(c)(1)(iii):Ties, guys, braces, or outriggers shall be used to prevent the tipping of supported scaffolds in all circumstances where an eccentric load, such as a cantilevered work platform, is applied or is transmitted to the scaffold. a. 136 Summit Avenue Jersey City, NJ Employees performing masonry work were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 97ft. when the tubular welded framed scaffold they were working from was not properly braced. The scaffold was constructed to reach the 9th floor and would sway while the workers gained access and engaged in construction of the elevator shaft. Violation occurred on or about 03/09/2021
