Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 004 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.333(c)(3)(iii)(A): Vehicles or mechanical equipment capable of having parts of their structures elevated near energized overhead lines were not operated so that a clearance of 10 feet (305 cm) was maintained. The employer is failing to protect employees from electrocution hazards associated with overhead power lines. This was most recently documented on June 4, 2020 at the workplace located at 8270 Nebraska Avenue, Building 5265, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri 65473. Employees were operating a Grove YB4415 15 ton telescoping boom crane near energized overhead power lines, without maintaining a 10 foot clearance from the power lines and the boom of the crane.
