29 CFR 1910.1450(f)(4)(i)(C): Employee training did not include the measures employees could take to protect themselves from the physical and health hazards of chemicals in the work area, including specific procedures implemented to protect employees from hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment to be used: Quality Control Laboratory Area: On or about May 26, 2020, and at times thereto, employees performing quality control testing and taste sampling operations were exposed to chemical hazards while handling products such as, but not limited to, sodium hydroxide 50% solution, without effective training on safe work practices on recognizing the physical and chemical properties of the hazardous chemicals used.
