Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.333(a): Safety-related work practices shall be employed to prevent electric shock or other injuries resulting from either direct or indirect electrical contacts, when work is performed near or on equipment or circuits which are or may be energized. The specific safety-related work practices shall be consistent with the nature and extent of the associated electrical hazards: On or about January 24, 2020, the employer did not establish safety-related work practices procedures when working on or around live conductors. Employees were replacing a 480 volt MCC breaker for Fulton furnace. Employees were exposed to the hazards of an electrical shock and/or arc flash injuries.
