Text For Citation: 01 Item/Group: 003 Hazard:
29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(ii): The procedures shall clearly and specifically outline the scope, purpose, authorization, rules, and techniques to be utilized for the control of hazardous energy. The employer is failing to protect employees from the electrical hazards by not having specific lock out tag out procedures in place for the equipment being worked on. This was most recently documented on January 8, 2020 at the CHI Health Lakeside Hospital located at 16901 Lakeside Hills Ct Omaha, NE. The air handler unit and its associated sources of power did not have specific lockout tagout procedures to follow when maintenance work was being performed.
