29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): The employer did not provide employees with effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment, and whenever a new chemical hazard the employees have not previously been trained about was introduced into their work area. Information and training was not designed to cover categories of hazards (e.g., flammability, carcinogenicity) or specific chemicals. Chemical-specific information was not available through labels and safety data sheets: (Construction Reference: 1926.59) a) 100 Renaissance Blvd, North Brunswick, NJ 08902 Employees working with hazardous chemicals including but not limited to Freshly Mixed Unhardened Concrete containing Portland and Blended Cements and Core Fill Masonry Grout containing Silica and Portland Cement, were not provided with effective hazard communication information and training prior to beginning work as masons and laborers, where employees used both products to perform work duties, daily. Condition observed on or about 10/12/18.
