29 CFR 1910.179(m)(1): A certification record which includes the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and an identifier for the ropes which were inspected were not being kept on file where readily available to appointed personnel: On or about February 20, 2014 and at times prior thereto, at the facility, the employer did not make readily available certification records, which included wire ropes used for hoisting ladles full of 36 - 38 tons of molten steel, two to three stories above ground floor level.
