29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards were present, or were likely to be present, which necessitated the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). If such hazards were present, or likely to be present, the employer did not: (i) Select, and have each affected employee use, the types of PPE that would protect the affected employee from the hazards identified in the hazard assessment; (ii) Communicate selection decisions to each affected employee; and (iii) Select PPE that properly fit each affected employee: (a)Front yard, 5792 Salem Rd, Stone Mountain, GA; On or about September 10, 2022, and at times prior, employees were exposed to cuts and lacerations, amputation, struck-by, crushing, falls, and electrocution hazards, in that the employer did not conduct an assessment to determine the appropriate personal protective equipment for use while employees were engaged in tree cutting and climbing activities.
