29 CFR 1926.451(b)(2): Except as provided in paragraphs (b)(2)(i) and (b)(2)(ii) of this section, each scaffold platform and walkway shall be at least 18 inches (46 cm) wide. On or about December 8, 2020 at 9369 Thoroughfare Road in Minocqua, Wisconsin, employees installing soffit and fascia on two garages were working from scaffold work platforms at greater than ten feet without the platform at least eighteen inches wide. Employees were utilizing fourteen-inch wide aluminum stage planks supported on each end by a scaffold tower.
