29 CFR 1910.269(l)(8)(v): The employer did not ensure that each employee exposed to hazards from electric arcs wore protective clothing and other protective equipment that had an arc rating greater than or equal to the heat energy estimated under paragraph (l)(8)(ii) of this section whenever that estimate exceeded 2.0 Cal/cm2: (a) On or about May 9, 2020, a FieldCore Service Solutions, LLC, employee was exposed to hazards from electric arcs while working with energized components at the base of wind turbine #46. The worker did not wear electrical-rated gloves where the estimated heat energy exceeded 2.0 Cal/cm2. The worker connecting to ground the breaker that was instead energized with 575 Volts and he sustained serious burns to his right hand.
