29 CFR 1910.147(c)(7)(i): The employer did not provide training to ensure that the purpose and function of the energy control program are understood by employees and that the knowledge and skills required for the safe application, usage, and removal of the energy controls are acquired by employees: A.) Microtech Knives, Inc., 300 Chestnut Street Ext., Bradford, PA 16701, on or about November 25, 2019 and times prior thereto: Authorized employees perform service and maintenance activities on equipment including, but not limited to, a milling machine backwash pump. Employees were not trained on lockout/tagout as authorized employees. B.) Microtech Knives, Inc., 300 Chestnut Street Ext., Bradford, PA 16701, on or about November 25, 2019 and times prior thereto: Employees were not trained on lockout/tagout as affected employees. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below). This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
