29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2)(iv): A monthly certification record which includes the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and an identifier of the chain which was inspected, was not maintained: a) Manufacturing floor - On or about November 22, 2015 and at times prior thereto, employees were using a 5 ton overhead gantry crane to lift a forklift for maintenance. The employer did not keep a current certification record of inspections performed on the chain. The most recent record of an inspection was from October of 2014. b) Manufacturing floor - On or about November 22, 2015 and at times prior thereto, employees use a 10 ton overhead gantry crane to lift product. The employer did not keep a current certification record of inspections performed on the chain. The most recent record of an inspection was from October of 2014.
