29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: (a) Ammon Farms Job Site - While setting roof trusses, employees walked on and worked from wood roof truss members, wall top plates, and 2x4 wood purlins, at least 15 feet 10 inches above a lower level, without using guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems for fall protection, exposing the employees to the hazard of falling to a lower level, as occurred on July 1, 2020. Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
