29 CFR 1910.179(j)(2)(iii): A monthly certification record which includes the date of inspection, the signature of the person who performed the inspection and the serial number, or other identifier, of the hook inspected, was not maintained: a) Manufacturing floor - On or about November 22, 2015 and at times prior thereto, employees were using a 5 ton overhead gantry crane to lift a forklift for maintenance. The employer did not keep a current certification record of inspections performed on the hook. The most recent record of an inspection was from October of 2014. b) Manufacturing floor - On or about November 22, 2015 and at times prior thereto, employees use a 10 ton overhead gantry crane to lift product. The employer did not keep a current certification record of inspections performed on the hook. The most recent record of an inspection was from October of 2014.
