29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: a) On or about March 4, 2025, at the jobsite located at 3775 NW 81st St., Miami, FL 33147, an employee was exposed to flying chips, caught by, and amputation hazards while working with a drill press (i.e. Morris Mor- speed drill) that lacked a guard on its rotating chuck and point of operation. b) On or about April 3, 2025, at the jobsite located at 3775 NW 81st St., Miami, FL 33147, employees were exposed to an amputation hazard while cutting metal sheets with an AccurPress shear (Model No. 837512, Serial No. 3583) that lacked a guard for its hold downs.
