29 CFR 1910.138(a): The employer did not select and require employees to use appropriate hand protection when employees' hands are exposed to hazards such as those from skin absorption of harmful substances; severe cuts or lacerations; severe abrasions; punctures; chemical burns; thermal burns; and harmful temperature extremes: On or about November 12, 2023, employees of Transformer Power Services LLC were performing testing on an electrical transformer located at 15141 State Highway 177 in Jackson, Missouri. The employer did not ensure employees utilized hand protection when working at an electrical substation. The employees at the jobsite were exposed to hazards from cuts, abrasions, and lacerations during assembly.
