29 CFR 1926.416(a)(1): The employer permitted employees to work in close proximity to energized, unguarded, and ungrounded electric power circuits that the employee could contact in the course of their work: a. At 2000 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, Florida, on or about 07/25/2023, an employee/electrician was exposed to an electrocution hazard, in that, the employee was working with his hands within a underground electrical enclosure, that which contained energized electrical wires, during which time the employee who was not wearing electrically insulated rubber gloves and who was using an uninsulated hand tool (cutting pliers), attempted to remove the electrical insulation from the end of one of the previously existing energized (red) wires. b. At 2000 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, Florida, on or about 07/25/2023, an employee, who was not a qualified electrician was exposed to an electrocution hazard, in that, the employee was working with his hands pulling wires within/through a underground electrical enclosure, that which contained previously exiting energized electrical wires, during which time the employee was not wearing electrically insulated rubber gloves.
