29 CFR 1910.1030(d)(2)(vii)(A): Contaminated needles and other contaminated sharps were bent, recapped, or removed: (a) Lafayette Leasing, LLC, 225 Waneka Parkway, Lafayette, CO 80026: On and preceding 02/04/2021 contaminated needles and other contaminated sharps were removed. Employees assisted residents with administration of insulin using an insulin pen, and assisted residents with blood sugar testing using lancets. Following use of the medical devices, employees removed by hand the contaminated needle from each insulin pen or lancet prior to disposal. This condition exposed employees to a bloodborne pathogens hazard.
