29 CFR 1910.219(c)(4)(i): Projecting shaft ends shall present a smooth edge and end and shall not project more than one-half the diameter of the shaft unless guarded by nonrotating caps or safety sleeves. On or about June 13, 2019, and times prior thereto, the employer did not ensure that projecting shaft ends were protected or guarded on the Rando sock line exposing employees to caught-in and struck-by hazards.
