29 CFR 1910.252(b)(2)(iii): Workers and other persons adjacent to the welding area were not required to wear appropriate goggles, to protect them from the rays when noncombustible or flameproof screens or shields were not used: (a) Masaba, Inc. at 1617 317th Street, Vermillion, SD 57069: On or about and at times prior to April 18, 2019 the employer did not ensure employees were protected from process generated radiation from the Messer Model TITAN, Serial Number TITAN14/4p-08-5172 plasma cutting machine in that protective screens or shields were not used to protect employees performing work near or adjacent the plasma cutting machine. This condition exposed employees to process generated radiation hazards.
