29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: a. On or about August 20, 2018, at the WestRock CP Jacksonville Holding Pond #2, employees using earth-moving heavy equipment to excavate organic material from the bottom of the pond had not been provided with effective information of the hazardous chemicals in their work area such as, but not limited to the toxicity, physical and health hazards and, hazardous levels of hydrogen sulfide gas emitted from the disturbed sediment material.
