29 CFR 1926.960(d)(2): Requirements for working without electrical protective equipment. When an employee performed work near exposed parts energized at more than 600 volts, but not more than 72.5 kilovolts, and was not wearing rubber insulating gloves, protected by insulating equipment covering the energized parts, performed work using live-line tools, or performed live-line barehand work under � 1926.964(c), the employee was not working from a position where he or she could not reach into the minimum approach distance, established by the employer under paragraph (c)(1) of this section. a.) Morris Painting, Inc.; 1701 Mohawk School Road, Edinburgh, PA - On or about 8/30/21, employees were exposed to electrical shock while coating/painting an electrical power transmission tower within the minimum approach distance without protective measures. ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION AND DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation. This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. IN ADDITION, abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic, or video evidence or abatement or other written records.
