29 CFR 1910.1200(h)(1): Employees were not provided effective information and training on hazardous chemicals in their work area at the time of their initial assignment and whenever a new hazard that the employees had not been previously trained about was introduced into their work area: (a) Employees engaged in cabinet building had not received training on the hazardous chemicals in their workplace, including the hazards of the chemicals, how to recognize exposures, or the methods to protect themselves. Chemicals included, but were not limited to: dusts from natural wood; dusts and chemicals associated with manufactured wood products, such as Melamine; and flammable solvent containing chemicals such as Lami-Lube-III, Bostik GlideCote, Famowood Wood Filler, and Rust-Oleum spray enamel. NOTE: Certification of corrective action is required for this item.
