29 CFR 1910.1052(l)(1): The employer did not provide information and training for each affected employee prior to or at the time of initial assignment to a job involving potential exposure to MC. a. Bath Magic, Inc. jobsite located at 1255 South Byrne Rd., Toledo, Ohio: On or about September 13, 2011, the employer did not ensure subcontractors received information and training on the following topics: 1. Requirements of the methylene chloride standard 29 CFR 1910.1052, its appendices, as well as how to obtain a copy of it in the work place. 2. The specific operations that could expose the employee above the 8 hour TWA PEL or STEL. 3. Whenever there are workplace changes, such as modifications of tasks or procedures or the institution of new tasks or procedures that could increase employee exposure. 4. The requirements of the Hazard Communication Standard 1910.1200 5. The location and availability of the written hazard communication program including the required list of hazardous chemicals and material safety data sheets. 6. Methods and observations that may be used to detect the presence or release of a hazardous chemical in the work area. 7. The measures employees can take to protect themselves from the chemical hazards, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures, and personal protective equipment to be used. 8. The details of the hazard communication program, including an explanation of the labeling system and the material safety data sheet, and how employees can obtain and use the appropriate hazard information. 9. How to establish and maintain a regulated area when employee exposures are expected to exceed the 8 hour TWA PEL or STEL.
