29 CFR 1910.269(r)(8): Fall protection. Each employee was not tied in with a climbing rope and safety saddle when the employee is working above the ground in a tree, unless he or she is ascending into the tree. Employee was exposed to fall hazard. Employee engaged in line clearing activities at 801 N. Young, Wichita, Kansas was exposed to fall hazard of approximately 10 feet from the working surface of the cedar tree to the ground below. Employee was exposed in that a fall protection system was not properly used.
