29 CFR 1910.179(n)(2)(ii): Handling the load-attaching the load. The load shall be attached to the load block hook by means of slings or other approved devices. On July 18, 2021 at 2901 Sherman Street in Wausau, Wisconsin, an employee was using a company designed and made Beam Separator hook device for rigging an I-beam to an overhead crane without prior equipment design safety certification and approval.
