Section (5)(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer does not furnish employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized hazards that are causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees were exposed to atmospheric hazards in a confined space: This violation occurred on or about September 26, 2013, at pump station #1 of the Eastside Water Treatment Plant located at 405 Long Creek Road in Sunnyvale, Texas, where Dobbs Coating Systems, Inc. employees who entered a dewatering pit were exposed to a hazardous atmosphere.
