Section 5(a)(1) of the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970: The employer does not furnish to each of his employees employment and a place of employment which are free from recognized inhalation hazards that are causing or are likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees: This violation most recently occurred on or about April 20, 2013, at a workplace located at 212 N. Bonner Avenue, Tyler, Texas; where employees, who were applying wood finishes to cabinetry, interior doors and moulding while inside of an enclosed, unventilated room, were exposed to hazardous airborne concentrations of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
